VOLUNTEER OPPORTUNITIES WITH STEPPING FORWARD LA

 

Thank you for your interest in volunteering with Stepping Forward LA and supporting current and former foster youth!  With your support, we can reach more foster youth and support them in more ways.  We look forward to getting to know more about you and answering any questions you might have. 

​We have a variety of ways you can volunteer.  Foster youth who age out of the foster care system, have been through a lot and are in need of building healthy, lasting relationships with Stepping Forward LA co-mentors, like yourself. We consider our role to be helping the young adult figure out their goals and make sure that they are connected to the necessary resources.

We include volunteers in every step of our process so if you have a desire to support foster youth or the work we do, we have a space for you in our non-profit. 

 

Our volunteer opportunities include:

• general support for young adults aging out of the system

• supporting new moms in our Pregnant and Parenting Program

• offering life skills workshops to newly housed homeless youth or first generation college students

• helping to on-board and support new users for the Stepping Forward APP
