VOLUNTEER ONLINE RESOURCE CENTER
Welcome to Stepping Forward LA’s Volunteer Program. With your support, we can reach more foster youth and support them in more ways. We look forward to getting to know more about you and answering any questions you might have.
We hope you will find our volunteer resource page helpful in supporting your relationships with the young adults in our program. You will primarily be working with young adults, ages 18-25 who have “aged out” of the foster care system. These young adults have been through a lot and are in need of building healthy, lasting relationships with Stepping Forward LA co-mentors, like yourself. The resources below should aid you in initiating and maintaining such relationships. Please let us know if you have suggestions on how to improve our online resource materials for volunteers!
Congratulations on your decision to volunteer with the current and former foster youth in our programs. Our application process is easier than it may seem and is designed to ensure the safety of the young adults we serve, as well as prepare you for the special journey ahead of you. If you have any questions after reviewing our online materials, please feel free to contact us via phone or e-mail.
We would love to hear from you and answer any questions you may have. Feel free to send an e-mail to firstname.lastname@example.org or give us a call at (310) 270-3466.
