Our Internship Program at a Glance
75% of youth age out of foster care without any job experience. Our internship provides 100 hours of paid, hands-on experience. Done virtually, it gives young adults flexibility to earn and learn at their convenience without transportation barriers. 1/3 of interns are young parents. 40% are also searching for stable housing. 41% are students juggling work and school commitments.

While our interns do so many things to further their professional and personal development, their primary focus is contributing to the Stepping Forward App.
Interns create, lead and contribute to app design, content development, and outreach, guaranteeing we keep the app updated with new features and content as well as staying engaging for App members.
The Stepping Forward App is designed by and for current and former foster youth.
